A TPU coating exists to solve one problem: a bare elastic band snags, yellows, or bleeds color onto fabric. Coated bands keep a smooth surface through washing and repeated stretching, which is why they are specified for swimwear, activewear and garment gathering. We currently hold 4 TPU-coated styles; if your requirement is narrower than that selection, send the width, thickness and the fabric it will contact, and we will either match an existing mould or quote a coated custom run.
